Terms of Service

Agent Substrate is an early-stage product. These terms are intentionally short and will grow as the product does — if something here is unclear, email us at hello@agent-substrate.com and we'll clarify it in writing before you rely on it.
1. What Agent Substrate is
Agent Substrate lets you build, deploy, and monitor AI agents — chatbots and automated workflows that call large-language-model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others) on your behalf, using either credentials we provide or an API key you supply yourself.
2. Your account
You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping any API key you connect to it confidential. Don't share your sign-in access with anyone you wouldn't trust with the data behind it.
3. Plans and usage limits
Free-tier and bring-your-own-key accounts are subject to daily message/request limits shown in your dashboard. We may adjust these limits as the product evolves — we'll always show you the current limit before you hit it, not after.
If you connect your own LLM API key, calls to that provider are billed directly by the provider under your own account — Agent Substrate only charges (where applicable) for the processing we do on our own infrastructure (file parsing, embeddings, storage).
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Agent Substrate to generate content that's illegal, to attack or abuse other systems, or to try to defeat the safety checks we run on messages and uploads. We may suspend an account that does.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you send through Agent Substrate — your prompts, uploaded documents, and the agent outputs they produce. We don't use your content to train models. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what we store and for how long.
6. No warranty, limited liability
Agent Substrate is provided as-is, in active development. AI-generated output can be wrong — verify anything that matters before you act on it. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the past 12 months.
7. Changes
We'll update this page as the product changes and note the new effective date at the top. Material changes (anything that reduces your rights) will also be emailed to the address on your account.
